Book Reviewers

about us

You’ve already read a little bit about me, now read a little about the rest of my team. These are the other reviewers for this blog.

Greetings Everyone! I get the distinct pleasure and privilege to be a guest blogger on my best-friend’s site. Since all of you follow Ang’s blog you know how fabulous she is; I will try to write something that hopefully entertains. Plus a huge Thank You to my BFF who is letting me share on her blog. She rocks!

For those who don’t know me or only know me as Angela’s BFF, let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Venture. I’m a single mother of one daughter and three teenage boys. I also have a granddaughter, named Caramia, who is almost 2 and is the love of my life. I work in a hospital as a pediatric Respiratory Therapist. My three greatest loves besides my family is of course reading, traveling, and going to church. I couldn’t read until the end of the second grade so once I started I never stopped. I read anything and everything however I will always hold a special place in my heart for Harlequin romances. My mom got 6 in the mail when I was a kid. On a weekend that my father was out of town we would lie on the couch and read book after book. Then when we were done we would say how productive we were; we had been to Alaska, Australia, or Europe depending on the books. That is when I discovered not only my love of reading but my love of travel. The cheapest way to travel is a book.

Hey everyone! My name is Courtney and I am so excited to introduce myself as a reviewer on, I Feel the Need, the Need to Read! I am thrilled to join Angela and Venture in reviewing some amazing books by some very talented authors.

I live in Southern California with my husband and our 3 boys. I am a photographer and stay at home mama! I love reading (obviously) and am always intrigued by the power of words. Stories can evoke immense emotions and readers can be pulled into a world completely opposite from their own reality. My passion for photography stems from the same idea. Stories and photos, they’re all about moments and emotions whether it’s capturing them behind the lens or through words!

You will find genres like romance, paranormal, dystopian, poetry, memoirs, some classic literature and copies of The Walking Dead graphic novels on my Kindle. I enjoy reading new things and discovering my love for a whole new genre. I am looking forward to reviewing on the blog and getting to know some new people in the process. I can’t wait to review the stories that I enjoy with all of you!

My name is Laura Barcenas. Born and raised in Tucson. I’m 33 years old and I am a single mom to my beautiful daughter who also shares my love of reading. I LOVE to read and I usually have 2 or 3 books going at the same time. My favorite genres are true crime and anything to do with vampires. I love how a great story can take you to a different world or make you fall in love with the characters. I am open to reading just about anything and from any genre. I’ve been a make up artist for 11 years and it is one of my passions. I love making a person feel and look their best! I am excited to be apart of I Feel the Need, the Need to Read blog and look forward to meeting new people.

My name is Julie Gonzalez. I`m so excited to be a part of I Feel the Need, the Need to Read blog. I am a full time cosmetologist well as a full time mom to 3 beautiful but curious children. I feel that story time in our family gives us all a chance to use our imaginations, work on our vocabularies, and take us to far away places when life can sometimes get a little crazy. My love of reading came at a very young age for me I was so intrigued how I could get so wrapped up in a book and feel like I was literally there. There is nothing like sitting in my favorite chair wrapped in a blanket at times reading a great book. I love reading all sorts of books but I think my favorites would have to be paranormal, mysteries, and some steamy hot romance but I have been know to get into a good drama as well. However I`m open to reading just about anything that catches my eye.

My name is Denise Van Plew and I am a mom of two children who are grown and married. I also have two grandchildren who are the joy of my life. One of my children is married to army guy and they have just recently been stationed at Camp Humphries in Korea. I am from Ohio but have lived in California for many years now in Long Beach. I work fulltime at Walmart as a Zone Merchandiser Supervisor and when not at work can find me reading-addicted to books. In the last year or so found out that reviews I published on Goodreads were actually read (did on my own pleasure) and was contacted by Entangled to read and review for them if I would so like and it spiraled from there. I really enjoy reading been doing it for 48 years so now doing what I love to do. Reviewing also introduces me to some wonderful authors I might of missed. Have also become friends with some wonderful people through the world of books a exciting place it is with real warm people behind it all.

Hi my name is Jessica and I am completely and irrevocably addicted to reading. One day in the fourth grade I picked up Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingles Wilder and I never looked back. I read a wide variety of genres because I will devour pretty much any book I come across, but I do tend to favor fantasy. I especially enjoy when a book creates a completely new world for me to explore. I am 26 now with 2 little ones of my own, and one of my proudest parenting moments to date has been when my 7 year old son started reading the Harry Potter series. I am very proudly married to a Navy Corpsman, so books have also helped in keeping me company through deployments over the past 8 years. I currently reside in North Carolina, but am originally from the great state of California. I am very excited to be a part of this blog and I hope I can make a positive contribution!

My name is Kelly and I’m a bookaholic and author stalker.  I read and review for Judith. I read on average of 4 books per week for the last 4 years. I honestly haven’t reviewed most of the books I have read, only the ones I really loved.  After a discussion I had with an author and some bloggers, I now understand the importance of the review. So now I review every book I read. Even books I don’t care for. I read everything from suspense, romance, sci-fi, paranormal, urban fantasy, historical to YA. I don’t like books on with cheaters. My kindle email is

Side stuff: I live in Northwest Indiana. I’m married for 15 years, together for 20, with a daughter and son, ages 11 & 9.  I’m a stay at home mom who volunteers in the school library among other places. I’m a Girl Scout leader and a Pinewood Derby chair.  Kids are really into Taekwondo. I get all my friends to read books.
