~ Synopsis ~

When Faye discovers her boyfriend in bed with another woman, she does something incredibly stupid: she sleeps with his brother, Dexter Black. He’s the boy next door who grew up to be one sexy biker dude, pure alpha male to the core. A tattooed muscle-bound fantasy in the flesh, Dex is now vice president of the notorious Wind Dragons MC. And now Faye’s really screwed. . . . She’s a law student with a future. He’s a criminal with a past. She’s a good girl from a strict family. He’s a bad boy who breaks all the rules. But once Faye straddles the back of Dex’s bike—and experiences the thrill of the open road, the rush of pure adrenaline, and the roar of unbridled lust—there’s no turning back. This good girl and her hot-blooded biker are in for the ride of their lives. . .

~ Review by Kelly ~

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*

Dragon’s Lair is the first in the Wind Dragons MC Series by Chantal Fernando. It is told from Faye’s POV with a small flash back.

Faye has been a good girl all her life. She still lives at home with her parents. She went to law school and is at the top of her class. She’s had one boyfriend, a six year relationship. Faye’s plan is sidetracked when she catches her boyfriend cheating with her best friend. After she breaks up with him, she has a long passionate one night stand with his brother, Dex. She has had a crush on him since she was 10 and he was 15. Events happen that force Faye into Dex’s world of the motorcycle club Wind Dragons.

This is my first motorcycle club book. Why? I think because many of the book descriptions put a negative light on how they treat females. While Dragon’s Lair had its moments, Faye ruled the members. Don’t get me wrong. The members of the MC are definitely alpha guys. Faye is outspoken, telling it how it is, and is often accused of saying the first thing that comes to her mind. She doesn’t shy away from conflict either. She’s smart too. She knows when to keep her mouth shut and when to speak. I think that is why I liked the book so much. Dex is very much an alpha male: mine! He TRIES to control Faye, but it only works so far. Dex learns to open up to Faye because keeping secrets isn’t working well for him. It only causes him distance between him and Faye, which is the last thing he wants.

As far as the sexy time, there is plenty of it. It is well done and toned down. The plot moves along naturally without insta-love. Dex and Faye do have to work at making a relationship. They face trying times and come out on the winning side. There is plenty of humor in the book that I wasn’t expecting. I think that allowed Faye’s and the member’s personality to shine. I had so much fun reading it, I lost track of time. The book is a solid fun read. 4 books.

~ Synopsis ~

Anna is a beautiful Ph.D. student whose older brother is a notorious badass in the Wind Dragons MC. Of course she loves Rake, who’s looked out for her since their troubled childhood. But he’s still protecting her—to the extreme. She can’t make a move without a Wind Dragons motorcycle escort. Potential boyfriends flee, for fear of her ass-kicking sibling. And Rake’s made it clear that his biker brothers are trouble of the worst kind, and strictly off-limits. But one of these tattooed bad boys has already pierced her heart: Arrow, the bearded, darkly brooding rider with the body of a Greek God and eyes that betray a wounded soul. He’s sent to whisk her off campus on his thundering steel stallion. And when Anna wraps her arms around his rock-hard torso, it’s too late for caution: she’ll ride as far as the road takes them—unless Rake stops Arrow in his flight. . . .
