*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*
Ian Peterson had received a promotion. He had worked his way up to Detective Constable which uprooted him and his wife moving from Kent to York. In his mind he already decided that he would go wherever his promotion would take him which happened to be York. For his wife Bev it was quite a change. She was away from her family and friends. Although she was happy for Ian’s promotion she couldn’t help feeling sad and a bit lonely. Just as they are getting used to living in York a murder happens at the races and has Ian working on it full time. There are no clues and no suspects. Just when it seems that the case is at a stand still, another murder happens and the similarities are too much to be considered a coincidence. Ian must work against time so another murder doesn’t happen.
This is a good story. A little slow in the beginning and in some places but I was into the story. There were some definite twists and turns I didn’t see coming. Plenty of suspense! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes a good murder mystery. I give this 4 books.
