~ Synopsis ~

Everything I ever learned about fairy-tales was a fucking lie…

Four years ago, my life was everything I wanted it to be: I had everything I wanted, everything I needed, in my best friend and newly wedded husband—Tyler.

Yet, hours after we said “I do,” I lost him.

Forever…

The dreams we’d shared, the future we’d planned—all of our hopes and desires, were ripped away in mere seconds.

And now, four years later, my life still feels like a hopeless eternity.

So, I guess it’s quite fitting that the last person I want to hear from is currently standing at my front door.

He wants to tell me the truth about that night, he wants to be my new knight in shining armor, but the thing is…

He was the best man…

~ Excerpt ~

“Bullshit,” he says again, grabbing hold of my arms. “You love me.”

“Luca.”

His grasp on me tightens as he shakes me. “Tell me you don’t.”

“Luca.”

“Tell me you don’t love me Everly.”

“I don’t love you.”

“You’re full of shit.” He releases his hold on me, taking a step back.

~ Review by Angela ~

*I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.*

I read Alice Tribue’s first series and really liked it. Yes, it’s a romance, but I enjoyed the story and the characters. When I read the synopsis for this story, I thought that it sounded good. I knew by reading the synopsis that this wasn’t going to be a typical romance story. When I say typical I mean the kind of story where the boy and girl meet and are in love within the first 10 minutes of meeting. There is an attraction and a pull to them. Ugh, please. The story of Everly and Luca is most definitely not typical. Everly and Luca HATE each other. They literally can not stand to be in the same room as the other and they have never gotten along since the very beginning. Time isn’t a helper in that fact either.

Everly and Luca spend a lot of time bickering and hating each other that you aren’t quite sure what’s going to happen. It’s one of those stories where you are asking yourself “Where is this going? How are they going to go from this pure hatred to anything else?” It’s like a train wreck at times because you just know that when they get together something explosive is going to happen. And it’s never a safe bet on which side the instigation is on. I give Unspeakable Truths 4 books.
