Synopsis

A no-nonsense female cop reluctantly teams up with the one man who makes her lose control in a deliciously sensual new novel from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster

To bring down a sleazy abduction ring, Lieutenant Margaret “Margo” Peterson has set herself up as bait. But recruiting Dashiel Riske as her unofficial partner is a whole other kind of danger. Dash is six feet four inches of laid-back masculine charm, a man who loves life—and women—to the limit. Until Margo is threatened, and he reveals a dark side that may just match her own….

Beneath Margo’s tough facade is a slow-burning sexiness that drives Dash crazy. The only way to finish this case is to work together side by side…skin to skin. And as their mission takes a lethal turn, he’ll have to prove he’s all the man she needs—in all the ways that matter….

Review by Venture

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*

Lieutenant Margaret Peterson has been going undercover to find the scum that have been drugging and kidnapping women then having them star in porn videos. She had been using Dash as a cover until it bothered her that women kept picking him up with her right there. She still is trying to find these guys but they know who she is and is looking out for a way to stop her.

Dash has had a thing from the strong Lieutenant since the day he met her. She likes to pretend she isn’t a woman and her men don’t think of her that way. Dash sees it and plans on seeing more of it. The undercover assignment was a good start. Now that these guys are after her, he plans to use it to get under her tough guy exterior.

Lori Foster is always a genius when it comes to her stories. Getting Rowdy, her previous book, set the stage for this book. I was waiting with baited breath to get my hands on it. I love Dash. He can handle being a strong male but he can also deal with the fact in some situations Margo is better equipped to handle it. He is doesn’t mind having a strong woman as a partner. He needs a partner not a woman who is needy. There is something highly attractive about a man who knows who he is and isn’t afraid of a strong woman. I loved this book. I give it 4.5 books.
