Review by Angela
I was given a copy of this book to review in exchange for an honest review. Kasha has been taken and has no idea where she is or how she got there. She doesn’t know why she was taken or who took her. She is kept in darkness and can not figure out what is going on or what they want from her. Kasha finds out that she has a secret that these people seem to know but she was never told. While she’s being kept though, some things are starting to happen that are very odd. She “meets” a mysterious stranger in what she can only surmise is a dream. But it felt really real and he seemed even more real. She can’t stop thinking about him and wondering if he has anything to do with her situation. What is happening to her? How is she able to talk to him in her dreams and have it seem so real? Will she ever find out who is keeping her and why?
This is Felicia Starr’s debut novel. It is a YA paranormal fantasy and the first book in the series. For a debut novel, it is a very good one. When I first started reading it, I was completely drawn in. I had no idea what was going on and wanted to find out as much as Kasha did. I haven’t read anything like this story before. I was able to visualize what Kasha was seeing and feeling. I am really, really excited to read the next book and to find out what the hell is going on!! I give this 4 books.
