He’s addicted to booze. She’s addicted to sex…staying sober is only half the battle.
No. More. Sex.
Those are the three words Lily Calloway fears the most. But Loren Hale is determined to be with Lily without enabling her dangerous compulsions. With their new living situation—sleeping in the same bed, for real, together—Lily has new battles. Like not jumping Lo’s bones every night. Not being consumed by sex and his body.
Loren plans to stay sober, to right all of his wrongs. So when someone threatens to expose Lily’s secret to her family and the public, he promises that he’ll do anything to protect her. But with old enemies surfacing, Lo has more at stake than his sobriety.
They will torment Lily until Lo breaks.
And his worst fear isn’t relapsing. He hears the end. He sees it. The one thing that could change everything. Just three words.
No. More. Us.
Review by Courtney
“I have so many regrets. I don’t believe anyone who says they don’t. How can you live life making mistakes and never wishing you could take one back?” –Lo Hale, Addicted For Now.
Addicted to You #1
Addicted for Now #2
I honestly don’t know where to start. The deeper this series goes, the better it gets, I just don’t think I can write anything that will do it justice. This is SO much more than a love story. Its pain, its love, its witty….and for so many in the “real world” its reality, which is why I think it makes this series so much better. This isn’t an I love you….we need our space….now let’s reignite our love kind of story….Addicted For Now represents the pain of struggling with addiction, functioning in society with said addiction, the importance of friendship and support and the power of love.
I read A LOT, but the Addicted Series is the only series I have read where I can list off each character without having to check out the synopsis for a refresher. Lo, Lily, Rose, Connor, Ryke and Daisy all have a place in my heart, I will always remember these characters and their story. We start the series with Addicted to You and Lily and Lo, on their own, enabling one another, supporting each other’s addictions. We start Ricochet with Lo in rehab and Lily trying to maintain her own sobriety all while building her own relationships, mainly with Daisy and Ryke. In Addicted for Now Lo returns home from rehab. With the threat of Lily’s secret being spread across the tabloids Lo has to find the strength to maintain his own sobriety, while supporting Lily on her road to recovery and relying on those outside of Lo and Lily’s world. Ryke, Rose, Connor and Daisy are all there supporting the couple, being the friends and family and Lily and Lo never had and hid from throughout their addictions. While Lily and Lo initially saw their friends as these flawless characters, they begin to unravel the fact that they to have their flaws, addiction or not, no one is perfect.
I love the support system that surrounds Lily and Lo. I love the witty banter between all the characters. I loved that every time a situation got serious Lily’s internal dialogue just got funnier. These characters all fit each other perfectly, they complement each other and their bonds are getting stronger with each book. I want so much more of this series, and when it’s done I want spin offs for each set of characters! 5 books!
About the Authors
Becca Ritchie claims she’s from Mystic Falls, but really, she lives in Atlanta where humidity is her greatest foe. She loves comic books, blue nail polish and Jonathan Taylor Thomas circa 1995. She frequents Twitter to dish about too many TV shows, and when she’s not blogging, she writes novels and has teamed up with her twin sister to collaborate on a New Adult series.
Krista Ritchie has a clone…or someone who looks exactly like her. If she’s not writing books with her twin sister, she’s pouring over entertainment news and ingesting copious amounts of pop culture. She likes tennis, that thing called the TV, and beating Becca (her clone) on Sega Genesis. She created YA Book Exchange to combat her book buying addiction and started Nawanda Files, a YA Book Blog that features books into movies news, to share her love for all things bookish. Oh, and she does something called science. Whatever that is.
Krista & Becca Ritchie write New Adult books that make you cringe, gasp, and go ooh-la-la. (If you do that sort of thing.) They are currently working on the spin-offs and final books in the Addicted series. Connect with them on twitter and their website: kbritchie.com
