Cosmopolitan Magazine calls Addison’s books…easy, frothy fun! 3:AM Kisses ~First base never felt so good!~
Baya Brighton is looking forward to her first year at Whitney Briggs University, new friends, dorm life, and finally being close to her brother again. Love is the last thing on the list, but when Baya meets her brother’s roommate she begins to have thoughts and feelings that make even her blush.
Bryson Edwards has a secret he prefers buried in the past and long forgotten. He keeps himself busy with the important things, loose girls, fast cars, and long nights working at the string of bars his family owns. When his roommate’s sister shows up on the scene, she’s far too innocent and sweet for him but he can’t shake Baya out of his mind and worse, it looks like she’s seeping into his heart as well.
Baya seems determined to show her brother she’s not a little kid and equally determined to use Bryson’s body to prove her point. It’s been made pretty clear that Baya is off limits to Bryson but their undeniable sparks explode into a whole lot more than just a few 3:AM KISSES.
So here is yet again another romance being reviewed by me, BUT it was written by the incomparable Addison Moore. I have read other Addison Moore books, here young adult books, so I figured I would read one of her other ones. She sent me 3:AM Kisses and The Solitude of Passion (reviewed below) to read. I really, really, really liked this book! Baya is trying to break out of her “good girl” image that her family and older brother have thrust upon her. She is attending college away from home and wants to live a little. But her brother has other ideas for her. He wants to make sure that she is staying out of trouble and away from the bad guys. However, he’s not keen to practice his own preaching. He is having what amounts to a sex contest with his roommate Bryson. Baya happens to catch Bryson’s eye upon arriving at school. Bryson kind of takes Baya under his wing and shows her around campus and even helps her get a job at one of the bar’s that his family owns. When they start getting closer, they have to hide their relationship from everyone, especially her brother.
This is such an extremely well written, passionate, dramatic, funny story. Baya is a virgin and I was laughing my ass off when she loses her virginity! The thoughts coming out of that girl’s head were hilarious!! I was totally dying!! Another thing that I loved about this book were the sex scenes. They weren’t overdone, or cliche or groan inducing. They were sexy with just the right amount of detail so it didn’t feel like it was an all night orgy. I really like Baya and Bryson. Baya has a great senses of humor and I think almost any girl can see a little of herself in Baya. She’s got the same struggles that a lot of us have and I remember being that age and going through some of them. Bryson is a hottie and one of my favorite new book boyfriends. Bottom line – go get 3:AM Kisses! You are going to love it! I did and I don’t really like romance books!! 5 books!

Worlds collide in THE SOLITUDE OF PASSION
Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!! This book was so heart wrenching and tragic and timeless and captivating! I could not stop reading this book!! Lee marries “the love of her life” Mitch and they seem to have everything. They have a construction company and a vineyard and are expecting their first child. But, Mitch has a fuck up of a brother and is forced to leave the country to take his place at a construction site. While in China, Mitch is captured and forced into a prison and later a prison work camp. His wife, friends and family think that he is dead. After mourning him they go on with their lives. Lee moves on with hers and eventually ends up with Max. But Lee’s past comes back to force her into making one of the most difficult decisions anyone could ever have to make.
When I was reading this book I was trying to put myself into Lees’ shoes and to try and make the decisions that she has to make. I couldn’t do it. I don’t know of anyone that would be able to make decisions like she has to in this story. She has a lot to deal with and a lot of difficult circumstances and situations and I’m not sure how I would handle any of them. She is forced to deal with a lot and to carry a lot of weight around on her shoulders. I really felt for her in this story. I also felt deeply for Max. He is such a nice guy and doesn’t deserve the problems that come his way either. He’s trying to do right by helping to take care of Lee and he gets nothing but heartache for it. I could totally see this book becoming a movie because it is so captivating and gut wrenching. It would be an amazing movie. I give this story 5 books.
