DARE them to LOVE
DARE them to LIVE
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. As you probably know, Venture usually reviews the romance genre for my blog with me only reviewing romance from my favorite authors. But, I read the synopsis for this one and I was intrigued. I am really glad that I followed my gut instinct. I really, really, really liked this book. Ryland is such a hottie book boyfriend! He’s presented with a very beautiful, different kind of girl than he’s used to and he’s perplexed. She’s not like the bleach blonde, ditzy rich chicks that seem to hit on him and that he uses for one night stands. He thinks there might be something more there for him to get invested in. But, will she give him a chance?
Araya was involved in a tragic accident and has been sheltered for 4 years, left alone to her own devices and treated like dirt by her aunt and uncle. She has no friends, no freedom and basically no life. That seems to all change when she meets Ryland Dare. She doesn’t have very much experience with boys so she’s not quite sure how to act. When her aunt takes her to Ryland’s house to be tutored by Ryland’s sister Cara (aka Careless), she’s faced with this dilemma and she has no one to talk to about it. She knows she should stay away from him but she can’t help herself. He brings out the best in her and makes her want to live her life and stop hiding. But at what cost?
Ryland is such a great guy!! You would think that being a rich kid and getting every girl he wants that he would be a giant jerk. But he’s not!! He is so caring and loving and does great things for Araya. At times, yes, he can be a bit brutish, but he’s only trying to protect Araya. He’s warned by Careless not to pursue Araya because she’s “damaged” and has seen enough heartache. However, he just can’t seem to leave her alone. This is such a good love story with a heartbreaking cliffhanger. It needs to be read anyway and I can not wait to read the next one. I give this book 5 books.
I find it hard to sum up my life in a paragraph, but I’ll try.
I am the author of Flutter, The Discover Series! Reading has always been a passion for me, and writing as instinctive as breathing.
Every inhale is an idea; every exhale a creation. The only thing I do better than writing you ask? Making beautiful girls. My daughter’s will always be my greatest accomplishment.
I was born in Denver, Colorado–but I will always think of sunny Arizona as my home. I don’t have a big family, but I’m close with my sister, brother
& my mom. My mom is my hero, my inspiration, and I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing person to be raised by.
4 things you should know about me: I’m very girly, but I can get down and dirty with the best of them. I adore the color pink and things that sparkle
(including vampires), I am a firm believer that chocolate cures ALL and I like even numbers (hence 4 things about me, not 5) Okay, maybe I cheated a little with my list, shhhh.
