Big Sky Wedding by Linda Lael Miller

The “First Lady of the West,” #1 New York Times bestselling author Linda Lael Miller, cordially invites you to Parable, Montana—where love awaits

Wedding bells are ringing in Parable, Montana, but Brylee Parrish hasn’t enjoyed the sound since being jilted at the altar by Hutch Carmody. She’s over Hutch now, and running a multimillion-dollar business is challenging enough for this country gal. So she should avoid falling head-over-boot-heels for A-list actor Zane Sutton. He’s come home to his rodeo roots, but Hollywood lured him away once and just might again. Yet everything about him, from his easy charm to his concern for his young half brother, seems too genuine to resist….

Zane didn’t come to Parable for love—but count on a spirited woman to change a jaded cowboy’s mind. Problem is, Brylee’s not convinced he’s here to stay. Good thing he’s determined to prove to her, kiss by kiss, that she’s meant to be his bride.

Review by Venture

Brylee had Zane pegged the moment she laid eyes on him. He is one of those “Hollywood” types that buy up ranches to put in pools and tennis courts.  Then leave when they get bored again.  She didn’t like to note how hot he was and how she would love to rip his clothes off.  After all, what was the point?  She was still recovering from being left at the altar on her wedding day.  She definitely wasn’t going to trust some wannabe cowboy.

Zane moved to his ranch that needs a lot of repair to simplify his life.  He is surprised with how content he is just working on his ranch and waiting for his horse.  He starts off with his dog Slim he rescued and a house he needs to fix up.  Next thing he knows he has a houseful of people and responsibilities. It looks like his life is going to get more complicated than he thought.  Not to mention his attraction to his neighbor.

I truly enjoyed this book.  I understand how Brylee would be a little gun shy after what happened to her.  I like the fact that even though Zane is from Hollywood he has a old fashioned attitude.  He gives Brylee the space she needs and seems to enjoy her prickly behavior.  He is man who takes his responsibilities seriously and that is rare these days.  My only complaint is the book wasn’t longer.  I give this 4 books.
